During the first two weeks of December I, along with nine other bloggers, have been trying our best to convince you to vote for our reprint nominations. However now it is time to open the poll. Below are the 23 nominations, 3 of which were randomly selected from the nominations put forward by blog readers. Like last year I think the final list of titles reflects well the variety of writing styles classic crime covered. Nevertheless the majority of the mysteries were originally published in the 1930s and 1940s. 1939 and 1947 were especially popular years. Interestingly three authors both managed to get two books into the poll: John Dickson Carr, Erle Stanley Gardner (one under the penname of A. A. Fair) and Clifford Witting.
Important Reminder: Like last year you are allowed to vote for up to 3 texts.
If you haven’t made your mind up on which titles to vote for, then check out my Nomination 1 and Nomination 2 posts, as they also include links to all the blogger chosen books.
The poll is now open and will close on the 29th December at midnight.
It would be great if you are able to share this post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It would be lovely to have as many people voting as possible and see if we can beat last year’s total number of votes!
Happy voting!

So it would seem. No blogger nominated her work and neither did any reader on the launch post. I think she has featured in a previous ROY award though.

I voted a few days ago, but forgot to leave a comment. Fingers crossed Yokomizo defends his title with a second surprise victory.

So no miraculous upset victory for Yokomizo this year, huh? Oh, well, Brand or Carr deserved to finally win one anyway.

Yes, no mention of a close contest by Kate in her tweets ! So either a Carr or Brand this time and Carr is more likely. Thus we may see the Puzzle Doctor laughing on 30th December !
