I thought it about time that my mystery and crime themed puzzle books got a page of their own on my blog.
The Pocket Detective (2018)
Put simply this is a puzzle book, in which the puzzles are based on the titles in the British Library Crime Classics series – though Christie and Sayers do pop up in them, as well, from time to time. There’s all kinds of puzzles from word searches and spot the differences to anagrams and odd one out puzzles. Importantly the variety of puzzles have been designed to cater for readers who are perhaps more new to the Crime Classics series, as well as those hard core fans who have every title sitting on their bookshelves at home.
It is available to buy or order online via the British Library Shop, Waterstones, other independent Bookshops and online retailers.
It is also available in the USA via the Poison Pen Press under the title: The Golden Age of Detection Puzzle Book.

The Pocket Detective 2 (2019)
The following year the sequel to The Pocket Detective appeared and it contains 9 new puzzle types and the additional British Library Crime Classic titles that had been printed at the point. More familiar puzzle types such as word searches and crosswords have undergone a number of tweaks and variations to keep readers on their toes.
Again this is available to buy to buy or order online via the British Library Shop, Waterstones, other independent Bookshops and online retailers. There is not an American edition at the moment, but USA readers should be able to access the British copy through companies such as the Book Depository.
